China Think Tank Sees Larger Yuan Appreciation this Year | 15 January 2011

BEIJING (Dow Jones)--China won't let the yuan appreciate too much this year, but the rise in the yuan's value will be larger than last year, a prominent government think tank said Saturday.

Ba Shusong, deputy director-general of Financial Institute under the State CoDevelopment Research Center, said the U.S. dollar's weakness against other currencies last year led to a fall in the yuan's real exchange rate. Read more
